Bank of Nevada Funding Financial Literacy Curriculum for Every Nevada Student

Every student in the State of Nevada will soon have access to financial literacy curriculum thanks to the combined efforts of Bank of Nevada and First Independent Bank, Green Our Planet and the Nevada Department of Education. The educational partnership enables Nevada to become the first state in the nation to make comprehensive financial literacy curriculum available to every student in grades K-12.

A $300,000 donation from the Western Alliance Community Foundation – the charitable arm of Bank of Nevada dn First Independent Bank, will fund the majority of an online financial literacy academy that can be access by public, private, charter and home-schooled students anywhere in the state.

MDX Labs Offers New, More Accurate, and Faster Result Tuberculosis Testing Method

MDX Labs is the first to bring a faster and more accurate tuberculosis test to Southern Nevada. Approximately 80,000 people in Southern Nevada have a latent TB infection according to the Southern Nevada Health District. Those with latent TB infection do not feel sick or have symptoms, however, the SNHD believes up to 10 percent of those with a latent infection will develop into TB disease. TheT-Spot.TB test is covered by most insurance and MDX Labs is working with several community organizations to make sure the test is available to those who lack access to medical coverage.

A First-of-its-Kind Planned Community From Touchstone Living
