LAUGHLIN, NV – Local favorite performer Pat O’Brien will be entertaining Splash guests at Aquarius Casino Resort with his synthesizer guitar Thursday through Monday nights starting Thursday, September 4, 2014 until Monday, December 1, 2014, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. The shows are FREE and there is no drink minimum at Splash.
O’Brien is an Irish one-man band who sings, plays a synthesizer guitar and can play notes that sound like a saxophone or piano. His wide array of music caters to many tastes, including classic rock, country, blues, rock ‘n’ roll, a few Irish tunes and even some opera. O’Brien is proficient in the latest music technology which he uses to provide his own background music.
Originally from Galway in the West of Ireland, Pat, or “PJ” as he is known in his hometown, began playing with show bands in the 1960s, studied music in Manchester, England and then began traveling with another band. He also tried his hand at musical theatre, playing the role of Judas in a touring production of Jesus Christ Superstar. After returning to his home in Galway, he was discovered and brought to Laughlin and has entertained local audiences for the past several years.
“Pat O’Brien is a true performer and we’re thrilled to welcome him to our recently updated performance venue, Splash,” said Aquarius Casino Resort General Manager Sean Hammond.
