When given the opportunity to help others, many people in our community will step up. After all, it’s a great feeling to be able to help a family in need. That is the idea behind the Feed a Family program in which Arizona Charlie’s players can contribute some or all of the ace | PLAY points they earned through their play to provide food baskets for needy families. Arizona Charlie’s got the idea last year from its sister property Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, which found great success and willingness from its players to help the community.

Here’s how it works. For every 12,000 points contributed by a player at the Arizona Charlie’s ace | PLAY rewards center (Boulder or Decatur), one food basket will be donated to a family at the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA). SNRHA clients have an average income of just over $10,000 a year. The food basket is a great relief and gift for these families and includes everything they need for the traditional holiday meal — entree, sides, dessert — enough to feed four people (and then some). SNRHA will deliver the food baskets to clients.
Points contributed prior to November 17, 2013 will be used for Thanksgiving food baskets. Points contributed between November 18, 2013 and December 15, 2013 will be used for Christmas baskets. Last year hundreds of people enjoyed one of these meals.
