Workforce Connections to hold Request for Proposal (RFP) 101 Workshop on January 27, 2016

January 18, 2016 by Mitch

Las Vegas, Nevada – January 14, 2016 – Workforce Connections is holding a Request for Proposal (RFP) 101 Workshop on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Workforce Connections, 6330 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 150 Las Vegas, NV 89146 in the Rosalie Boulware Conference Room.

As the Southern Nevada Workforce Development Board, Workforce Connections awards local community and faith-based organizations approximately $20 million of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds annually.

This workshop is offered at no cost to interested parties and is designed to teach organizations how to respond to upcoming RFPs for funding, including what evaluators look for in an RFP, how to avoid common mistakes, understanding of qualifications and the funding procurement process, as well as how to identify key success factors in developing successful RFP responses.

“We strongly encourage those that do not have previous Workforce Connections RFP experience to attend this workshop,” said Ardell Galbreth, Workforce Connections executive director.  “Applying for an RFP can be a complicated process, and this workshop will increase understanding of the critical information required and offer the opportunity to discuss any questions with other applicants and Workforce Connections representatives.”

Organizations interested in learning more about the RFP process can register for the January 27, 2016 workshop at http://nvworkforceconnections.org/admin/events.
