The Fifth Annual Nevada Walk & 5K for Hemophilia to help people suffering from bleeding and clotting disorders in the local community will take place Saturday, September 21 starting at 7:30 am at Floyd Lamb State Park.
The Nevada Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF Nevada) is hosting this event and is a nonprofit consumer advocacy and service organization founded in 1990 that helps meet the vast education and support needs of the bleeding disorders community in Nevada. They also provide a camp for kids specifically designed for youth with bleeding disorders.
Currently there are 20,000 people living with hemophilia in the United States. It’s an expensive disease where life-long management of hemophilia places a large financial burden on individuals and families. Every dollar raised at this event will help support the bleeding disorder community in Nevada.
