Iglesias’ Hiring Reflects A New Effort To Increase Community Partnerships

LAS VEGAS – September 25, 2019 – Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is proud to announce that Karen Iglesias has joined the organization as vice president of philanthropy.  This is a newly created position at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation and reflects an expanded effort to increase community partnerships that will help the organization to broaden its services, treatments and research.

Ms. Iglesias is highly experienced working among nonprofit organizations in Southern Nevada. She has held positions at some of Southern Nevada’s best-known charities, including president and CEO, director of development and most recently as senior regional director of philanthropy at the American Cancer Society. In this position, she was responsible for management and oversight of all significant philanthropic efforts with a focus on funding cancer research and access to care across six-states in the Western Region of the United States.

“I have no doubt that Karen’s incredible skill and experience in the philanthropy world will be an incredible benefit to Cure 4 The Kids Foundation — and it comes at a crucial time for our organization,” said Annette Logan-Parker, president & CEO, Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. “Our strategic plan is bold and includes creating new treatment pathways, expansion of our clinic, as well as adding new services, some of which will have a philanthropy component.”

“I am truly blessed to be here at Cure 4 The Kids, working alongside these outstanding healthcare professionals, supporting local families fighting pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases” said Iglesias. “I’m excited to bring my years of experience in the cancer space to engage our community’s support in expanding life-saving treatment and services for these brave children and the families who love them.”
