Golf 4 The Kids, a fundraising golf event supporting two nonprofit organizations, is set for Monday, June 2, 2014 at Red Rock Country Club’s private Mountain Course.
The tournament is limited to 144 golfers and will feature a number of added events including Longest Drive, Putting Contest, Million Dollar Hole in One and the chance to win the three year lease of a Ford Mustang V6. The funds raised through the tournament will be split equally between the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation and the Nevada Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation, both of which are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations. Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, through the Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada, provides specialized pediatric treatment for children facing a range of diseases and conditions including cancer, blood disorders, rheumatological conditions, rare and ultra rare diseases and genetic conditions. Services are provided to those with and without medical insurance.
The Nevada Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation is Nevada’s only inherited bleeding disorders advocacy organization. The foundation serves more than 600 families throughout Nevada offering a free and medically supervised children’s summer camp, ongoing education programs, workshops and advocacy efforts on behalf of clients.
