Not bad for a one night event. Circus Couture “Possession(s)” raised more than $100,000 for childhood cancer charities on December 8, 2013 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel. The money will go the Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada, the state’s only nonprofit pediatric cancer treatment center, and St. Baldrick’s Foundation, one of the leaders in providing funding to find a cure.
Circus Couture is a night of art, fashion and performance. All who take part voluntarily give of their time to support the community in which they live. The event was co-founded four years ago by Erica Linz who is president of Circus Couture. Linz has performed in many of the big name shows on the Las Vegas Strip and starred in the film Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away 3D.
The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada, a program of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, will receive a majority of the funds raised to support the Charity Care Plan. It ensures that any child facing cancer or other life threatening condition is never turned away due to a lack of medical insurance or inability to pay for treatment.
Prior to this year’s event, Circus Couture and it’s sister fundraising team, Cirque du SoBald, raised more than a quarter million dollars for childhood cancer charities.
