Cure 4 The Kids Foundation Announces 4th Annual Bowling Event

Bowl 4 The Kids Provides Funds For Treatment of Children Without Medical Insurance or Financial Resources

LAS VEGAS – June 30, 2014 – Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is hosting its annual bowling fundraiser, “Bowl 4 The Kids” at the Strike Zone Bowling Center at Sunset Station on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 1 p.m.

Bowl 4 The Kids raises money for Nevada’s children who are fighting catastrophic diseases such as cancer, rare and ultra rare diseases, rheumatological and genetic conditions and who are uninsured or don’t have the financial resources to pay for medical treatment.

Cure 4 The Kids Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which oversees and provides funding to its clinic, The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada, the state’s only nonprofit specialized pediatric outpatient treatment center. The foundation also raises funds for the Charity Care Program, which ensures specialized medical treatment is available to all of Nevada’s children. It is Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s mission that no child be denied care at their clinic due to a lack of financial resources or medical insurance.

“Every year this event grows larger and better,” said Annette Logan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. “We have the community to thank for its support which has led to the success of this event for the past three years.”

Bowl 4 The Kids will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Strike Zone Bowling Center at Sunset Station, 1301 W. Sunset Road at 1 p.m. (Sunset between Stephanie and Marks in Henderson). Registration is $25 which includes three bowling games, t-shirt on game day and pizza. Patients are free.

Bowlers can register by calling organizer Linda DeCamp at (702) 862-1131 or by emailing her at ldecamp@cure4thekids.org.  A registration form can also be downloaded at http://bit.ly/1lSYawl and then mailed to Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.

About Cure 4 The Kids:

The Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada and the Hemophilia Treatment Center Of Nevada are funded, in part, by the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation. The 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization was founded in 2007 by Dr. Jonathan Bernstein to ensure children with life threatening illnesses received proper medical attention regardless of their family’s income or presence of health insurance. To date, more than 8,000 patients have been treated by physicians and medical staff at the Children’s Specialty Center and Hemophilia Treatment Center. The Children’s Specialty Center provides medical treatment to children facing devastating diseases such as cancer, rheumatological diseases, as well as rare and ultra rare diseases. All our providers are Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) of Nevada is the only Federally recognized HTC in the state. It is one of 140 HTCs around the country which provides individual services to children and adults with inherited bleeding disorders. Studies show people with Hemophilia who are treated at Federally recognized HTCs have lower overall healthcare costs, lower hospitalization rates and lower mortality rates than non-HTC users. The Cure 4 The Kids Foundation’s Charity Care plan ensures patients at The Children’s Specialty Center and the Hemophilia Treatment center receive medical treatment regardless of family income or presence of medical insurance. www.cure4thekids.org
